How to care for my wool piece:

Washing Instructions

Hand-wash only. Do not place woolin the washing machine.

  • Icelandic wool is a natural deodorizer on its own and does not need to be washed often.
  • Fill lukewarm water into a clean bucket or sink.
  • Add a mild/gentle soap or special wool soap.
  • Turn wool inside out and place into the water.
  • Submerge the wool gently swishing it around and then leave it for about 10 minutes.
  • Do not rub the wool as this can cause the wool to felt.
  • Rinse through twice with cool water to remove all soap.

Drying Instructions

Air-dry only. Do not place wool in the dryer.

  • Do not wring out water after washing. It is best to press or gently squeeze excess water off the wool.
  • Roll in a towel for absorption.
  • Lay flat to dry and pull it gently into its original shape.
  • Do not hang the wool to dry as the weight will stretch it.
  • Put a fan in front of your wool to speed up the drying process. It can take 12-24 hours to completely dry.
