How to care for my wool piece:
Washing Instructions
Hand-wash only. Do not place woolin the washing machine.
- Icelandic wool is a natural deodorizer on its own and does not need to be washed often.
- Fill lukewarm water into a clean bucket or sink.
- Add a mild/gentle soap or special wool soap.
- Turn wool inside out and place into the water.
- Submerge the wool gently swishing it around and then leave it for about 10 minutes.
- Do not rub the wool as this can cause the wool to felt.
- Rinse through twice with cool water to remove all soap.
Drying Instructions
Air-dry only. Do not place wool in the dryer.
- Do not wring out water after washing. It is best to press or gently squeeze excess water off the wool.
- Roll in a towel for absorption.
- Lay flat to dry and pull it gently into its original shape.
- Do not hang the wool to dry as the weight will stretch it.
- Put a fan in front of your wool to speed up the drying process. It can take 12-24 hours to completely dry.
